Curating community through music and the arts since 1999.

Showcasing the best of the Southeast and creating community through music, arts, and culture in Macon, Georgia.

Bragg On 2021

The year 2020 was an unprecedented time for everyone, including Bragg Jam. Last summer, we were forced to cancel our Concert Crawl for the first time in twenty years. As our all-volunteer board looks to the summer of 2021, we are faced with similar challenges and uncertainties. Many local venues remain shuttered or still have capacity caps in place.

However, in the most authentic spirit of the organization, we must Bragg On. Bragg Jam will present for summer 2021, Bragg On, a free community concert on Coleman Hill. While Bragg On will be smaller in scale than our traditional concert crawl, we believe providing a place for the community to gather and enjoy live music is the best way to safely fulfill our mission of creating, curating, supporting, and promoting live music experiences.

The concert will be free to attend and feature local, regional, and national talent as well as food, beverage, and promotional item sales. The free nature of Bragg On means we are relying on generous sponsors with a passion for community and a love of music to help make this event a reality and sustain Bragg Jam until we can sell out indoor venues once again. With a range of sponsorship levels, we hope you will choose to support Bragg Jam while we all keep calm and Bragg On together.

Bragg Jam Board

How it all began...
Our History and Mission

During the summer of 1999, Macon singer/songwriter Brax Bragg was on the brink of something big. He had just recorded a CD with his new band the Buckleys, and they were scheduled to set out on tour. But before hitting the highway with his band, Brax took his baby brother Tate, an accomplished classical guitarist, on a cross-country road trip.

While traveling through Texas on July 3, the brothers’ lives were tragically cut short by a car accident. Back in Macon, friends were reeling at the news of the brothers’ tragic deaths. Russell Walker, a friend of the family and fellow musician, organized an impromptu jam session of local musicians to celebrate and honor the Bragg brothers’ talented lives.
