(Macon, Ga.) Bragg Jam headliner Cracker has recently released their latest album Sunrise in the Land of Milk and Honey, now available in stores and online. What: Calling all local artists to participate in a juried art exhibition to be completed on the day of Bragg Jam at the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail along with the already established Arts & Kids Festival in the same location. Artists will come prepared with canvas, brushes and paints in hand and will complete a painting somewhere along the Riverwalk between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4 p.m.

At 4 p.m. the artwork will be gathered and displayed along the trail. There will be a $100 cash prize awarded for our “Audience Choice.” All day long, the thousands of festival attendees can walk along the trail and watch the artists’ progress and vote early for their favorite. Artists can paint whatever they choose, in whatever medium and size, as long as the subject relates to or can be seen from the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail.

Where: The Ocmulgee Heritage Trail. Intersection of I-16 and 75.

Details:

10:00am (or later if you choose): Entrants canvas must get stamped for contest entry

4:00pm: Turn in finished painting for final judging

4:30ish: Awards, refreshments served

Note to artists: Bragg Jam Inc. welcomes your final painting as a tax-deductible donation to Friends of the Trail and will be auctioned off the following year as a kick-off fundraiser for Bragg Jam 2009.
